VCC ITT Sunday 10 Jan at SFP

The third edition of the VCC Summer Individual Time Trial series starts on Sunday 10 January at 8am at Stromlo Forest Park.

The start is just outside the gates of SFP on Uriarra Road. The course is an out-and-back course over rolling terrain, with the turnaround point at the entrance to Camp Sturt shortly before Uriarra Crossing. The total course distance is 19km.

Riders are welcome to compete individually or in teams. Competitors will be able to monitor their improvement over the summer, as all the time trials in the series will be over the same course.

REMINDER

Don't forget to bring your proof of membership as all 2009 licences will have expired and the RD will need to see your 2010 membership (card, email confirmation from CA or signed form). You can renew on the spot but much quicker and easier for everyone if you can do it before the event.

Renewing can be done online for most members in a couple of minutes, so if you do want to rejoin the club for 2010 just head over to the cycling australia website memberships section (http://www.cycling.org.au/default.asp?MenuID=Membership/20013/0), click on 'renew your licence online' and follow the prompts. Don't forget to print out your emailed receipt (or CA card if you recieve it in time) and take it along to your first race of 2010 as proof of membership.

I was hoping to race, but can marshal if needed. I'll get there early and be ready to do either.

You're awesome! Thanks. Hopefully there will be some others that will prefer not to ride on the day

I was also hoping to race, but unfortunately I'll be in Niseko - so I'm unable to help out with marshalling either! :D

Sloblocks, I'm not going to be able to make this ITT. So far they're been really good. I just got back from a R&R at Jindabyne today. I could not believe the number of cyclists up there. I talked to one of the other masters I've race with/against a few times, Mark Stapleton from the Central Coast Cycling Club (CCCC) - they had a group of 22 down there.
