A couple of differences and tips with this forum;

Once you click on a thread - you can change the display mode - check it out and select the one that suits you.

Reputation - the site also allows user reputations to be increased or tarnished. If you post something that people like, and a number give you a thumbs up - your score increases. If you post something that a lot of people don't like, and you get thumbs down - you'll take a hit on the reputation. The Catch: People can see if you Neg rep them!

There are a number of groups that you can request to join - Click on User CP --> Group Memberships and you'll see the list. Moderators will allow or deny you access here. If you want to create a sub forum for you and friends to organise rides - let me know and i'll create you a group and set you up as a Moderator so only you and selected individuals can see that Group.

If you have anoy other cool things you've found that people should know about - post it here and i'll keep it as a Sticky topic

Also, crit teams can have their own private sections to discuss race tactics, training etc. Already V-Mobile, MACT and Valhalla have team chat forums. If other teams out there are interested, they would be welcome!

Can you make a whoop arse Valhalla title like the V-Mobile one, Jamie? Where do you get these fonts?

It cannot be like the V-mobile, it must be different but yes, I will give the Valhallians a special Vikings font.

Jamie and Simon,

I hate to nag (left a post under Neopro re: this) but I signed up to Neopro but can't see any posts, make any posts or do anything in that forum. Is there something extra I need to do? I also signed up to the Valhalla forum and everything is fine on that forum.

Dwyer created that forum, so it's likely that an epic fail in forum creation occurred.

I'll have a look G-Sav and will post a note in the Novice section that you won't be able to see when it's fixed.

How do you post pictures saved on your computer?

SimonD

I think you've gotta use "attachments" instead of the pic button. then images should come up in a little thumbnail which expands when you put the mouse over it.

Love that Workipedia skin! So looks like I'm doing something work related work rather than been really obvious I'm on the big red forum all day! Very nice touch...

That is a beautiful thing indeed. Can we have an excel skin for the calculation-employed?

Ignore all the nagging, all is forgiven, I'm up and running.:)

Yes, the Workipedia skin became a necessity when I started pushing 5000 posts. I'll be putting up an IT looking skin too so I can bust out the "yeah just checking out the latest tech stuff Boss" calls....made somewhat difficult when there is an avatar of a naked gay dude with angel wings.

another hint by the way - multi quotes are enabled on this forum, depicted by the ever cryptic "MQ" button at the bottom of each post. Wow.

Don't forget all - if you've joined up to the forum - and you want to join any of the squads currently created (V-Mobile, MACT, Valhalla or Novice) go into User CP--> Group Memberships and Apply!

Hey Jamie, if I want to check recent posts but want to specify timeframe (like on old forum) what do I do? Sometimes I click on new posts but don't have time to read them all, then when I come back they are gone (from the new post list) - so I need to be able to specify timeframe....

Vanessa - there's an option in the Advanced Search section that will let you do that.
