I have the polar CS600x with power computer on my road bike, with speed & cadence also on my track bike & now want to set it all up on the TT bike. My problem is that I'm having difficulties locating an Australian distributor to supply the power, cadence & speed sensors. I have checked out both pursuit & sportstek - neither seem to have all 3 required bits. I have sent an email to pursuit but thought I'd also send out a call via the forum...
I originally bought this from PBK & had huge hassles when the original power meter was faulty, thus am keen to source it from the 'right' sources this time.
Ideas?
I would suggest gloves, goggles and beanie as a start.
Is it compatable with the 200 series? I have switched to Garmin so have a couple of sets of cadence and speed sensors if they are any good to you.

Chain reaction have all I need & it would appear I can either get the bits individually for $533.07 or a complete new unit for $661.28 - this seems ridiculous! Why do polar bring out computers that can be set up for 3 different bikes but then make the cost (of the power meter) so bloody high that I may as well buy a whole new unit!
Anyone want to do a deal & get the computer unit cheaply? If you don't want power the cadence/speed sensors are pretty reasonable ($61.68 each & 9.48 for magnets) to purchase, power's the killer!

No - the 600 has the WIND sensors so not compatible with any prior models :(

Vanessa, Seems to be heaps of CS600x stuff on ebay.com.au, mostly from Aussie sellers. I got my CS200 CAD from eBay and had no issues, even the replacement unit when my bike was stolen.
Might be worth a try. :)

I don't tend to trust ebay but still I looked. They have no power meters & given the reliability (not) of these units I want it from an authorised dealer. The cadence & speed sensors are cheaper from CRC then on ebay anyway.

Chain reaction SUCK.
They have royally rooted the last THREE orders that I've put in.
This last debacle is the last nail in the coffin.
They are hopeless.

Well, if you don't hear from them and the order doesn't turn up... they've stuffed up.
3 strikes and they're OUT.
Done. I'm not giving them any more chances.
Run by a bunch of inbred monkeys and that isn't the wine talking.

Looks like the power sensor thing on my CS600 has died (again), I will have to chase up another one with Pursuit Performance when I return from Bright. The first one I got was DOA (the power sensor that goes on the chainstay not the whole unit) and PP replaced it under warranty. From memory I didn't even have to send the old one back. Luckily I bought it direct from PP.
Interesting side note, on my other bike I have a CS200CAD and the cadence sensor died (anyone seeing a recurring theme here...) and I went to a LBS to try and buy another one and they weren't interested in selling one to me - told me just to go online and order direct from PP myself.

No..... i just ordered pedals from them(first order) please let them be all right.
Just got pedals only took a couple of days and they came in the proper box.
I would use them again CRC .I got Ultegra pedals with cleats for only $110.00
delivered ,a LBS would be over $200.00.

Rosco, have you changed the batteries in the power unit and made sure the sensor is in the right place for the chain and cadence magnet?
Changed the batteries, sensor looks to be in the right place, I might get you to have a quick look at it on the weekend if you get a chance.
I ordered a cassette from CRC late last week and it arrived today. Must be just you Scotty!

I have already emailed PP about the lack of products I want being available on their website & am waiting to hear back. Have also emailed CRC to check whether they are an authorised polar distributor before any purchasing is done.
I was burnt by purchasing my CS600 from PBK (who are not authorized to sell polar to australia) & of course my power meter was DOA too (seem the theme) & it took ages to have it replaced, including me starting some sort of incident between Polar Australia, Polar Finland & PBK (note pbk no longer list polar products).
I am being very careful & would be happy to purchase within Aust if I could find what I want!
