just doing a bit of fact gathering.

My mate has just offered me his old racer to turn into a fixie, i noticed last night on the bike it has a small label stating " built by Davis..In Canberra" or something to that effect.

Does anybody knw anything about these bikes, it seems like a pretty cool bike, Mavic cranks and big front gear.

The guys at the old bike museum showed me one once. There's also a fixie one going about the ANU at the moment. That's all I know about them! You'll have a fixie with some kudos there.

No idea. But even classic frames aren't usually worth that much unless they're already done up. In the late '70s through to the '80s there were so many in production too, so ones from that era are generally a fair bit less than previously when decent race frames were rarer. I don't think Pegasus would be known widely outside Canberra, so although it is relatively unique and has a cool story, I doubt it would be worth much.

All speculation from me though. Someone out there may well know better or at least more certainly.

Kano, I know fair bit about the brand Pegasus and I'm good mates with Keith Davis' son, Rich.

Email me.

There was a Pegasus track bike parked out the front of the RSBS building at ANU today. Looked nice!

I have a Keith Davis hanging in my stable as my "Sunday Special" very nice ride.

The club also has a Pegasus junior loaner.
