My name is Pip Vietz and I have been contracted by Bicycle Victoria to speak to a few of the cycling clubs about an event they are holding in March next year, the 3 Peaks Challenge, to determine if it is something the racing community would be / is interested in. The event takes in a 230km loop from Falls Creek up to Mt Hotham through Omeo and back to finish in Falls Creek. For more information on the event see

A quick bit if background – I grew up in Cooma and used to ride with the Cooma Cycling Club but have been in Melbourne now for a number of years. I was Pip Ffrost back in Cooma, and I believe a few of the Cooma crew are still riding/racing with the Vikings?
If you have the time, I would really like to speak with you to find out what your thoughts are about the event and if it is something that may be of interest to you and the club. This is not a sales pitch, purely an information exchange so the rides team at Bicycle Victoria has an understanding of your riders needs and if there is a possibility in the future that they may be able to have events that would be of interest to you and your riders.
