Dear Vikings Members
I’m cycling from Canberra to Melbourne to raise money for road safety. From Monday 23 to Saturday 28 November 2009 we will cover 832km (and lots of hills, because we’re going via the mountains)!
I am seeking your sponsorship to help the Amy Gillett Foundation to make our roads safer.
Many of us have been hit by motor vehicles, know someone who has been hit by a motor vehicle, or would just love it if we and our children could ride bicycles without fear for our lives.
The Amy Gillett Foundation is a Not for Profit organisation with the objective of reducing the incidence of accidents between motorist vehicles and cyclists. The Foundation promotes a wide range of programs (including research and education) aimed at both cyclists and motorists with the goal of increasing awareness and shared respect between all road users. Details are available on the AGF website at www.amygillett.org.au.
To participate in this event, I have been set the goal of raising $10,000. However I hope to raise much more!
All major sponsorships will be recognised by the AGF as having supported the ride.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible. All donations made via the website have the option of being disclosed.
If you would like to sponsor me, please click on the link and follow the instructions (with your credit card handy): https://www.registernow.com.au/agf/Donate.aspx?F=167
If that’s too hard, you can send me a cheque payable to the Amy Gillett Foundation (or send it to them and indicate which rider you are sponsoring i.e. Anthony Willis) and either way AGF will send you a receipt.
Please pass this on to anyone in your teams or amongst your friends and family who might be interested in sponsoring the event (especially if they are cyclists).
If you would like to know more, please do not hesitate to phone or email me, or to contact the AGF.
Regards
Anthony Willis
