Pretty impressive and another good performance in E Grade and Matthew just missed out on a podium... :)

Yes - good performance by the D grade boys! How many of them had tackled a ride like this before? And I missed a podium by 1 place - but nearly 4 minutes - a fair way off the pace!
Not sure if all the results are correct either - I thought I saw Club Prez at the bottom of Corin Dam Rd as I was driving off, with everybody else up near the top of the climb??
And Kate H - how are you? Reports had you stopped by the side of the road for a bit??

Katherine :)

haha yeah, i was fine untill i had a bit of an asthma attack... :P fine now, and was fine for the tour de femme today - but i get asthma in spring and it hit pretty bad in that race, causing me to stop about 5 times (riding at 6km/h :S) because i thought i was going to pass out... not fun! and of course, i didnt have my puffer, and there was no signal to call anyone and stop. so yes. that race was not fun :|

Anla did well. B grade started 10s behind A grade and we sprinted from the gun to catch them and sat on their wheels until Corin. So Tor would have climbed 24s quicker than Anla all up.

Na, they are right. He overtook me up Corin and pretty much turned around as soon as he hit the finish line.

That's a bit dodgy - If any b-graders wanted to try an attack before corin it would be pointless.

I think most of the B graders were too busy getting through the hurt zones than worrying about attacks. Got to the base of Corin with an average speed just shy of 40km/h.

Jamie was it a flat tyre again .

Indeed it was - that was a day to forget for me and the bike. I'd dropped off on the last rise before the tracking station so decided to try to hold off C for as long as possible - Saw Damien on the side of the road trekking home and figured he had tubs so couldn't fix his tyres - turned out he'd got a double banger and only had one tube, I flicked him my tube and kept going. About a k down the road, doing about 60 downhill my front let go and all I had in my pocket was one Skab patch. Finally fixed the tyre amidst the swarm of farking flies out that way but didn't want to pump it too much and test out the patch since that was my last chance saloon. Started rolling home and the rear was feeling awfully squishy, by the time I reached Point hut the tyre was bottoming out on every bump and I was pretty glad to wipe that day from my memory.

Result = 2 new tyres, a DNF and a confidence battering the likes of which haven't been seen since Kano tried to organise a Single Speed ride.

That being said - there was one point in the brief period I was in the race where someone was driving the front on the flat and I was flat out staying in the bunch - back to C grade for me thx.

Jamie, I can forsee the future.

I will again pass you on Mt Hotham.

If I get any flats at Bright this year, my bike is going over the side David Millar style and i'm taking up a career in professional drinking.

I caught you at the top of Hotham after my flat with your sprint kiddy mates don't forget.

And you got a lift home instead of riding back with me and the Foxman, now that is soft.
