Hi Guys

I think I told a couple of people that I would meet at the Uni to ride out to the race. Sorry I can't make it this week.

Post up if you are planning on riding out there and you will probably get a group together.

Where at ANU are you meeting? I'll be heading out early to help out with any membership issues so 4ish would suit me.

I won't be heading out this week but be aware that there is tree planting happening after the Scrivener Dam foot bridge. So there is some gravel/dirt on the path in places.

I'll join the race bus. I'm not sure exactly what time you had in mind. How about 4:15 at the bridge where the bunch meets on Friday mornings?

Cheers

there were some concerns about having enough time for registration and collecting our vikings kit/getting changed, so closer to 5 past 4 i reckon we'll meet up.

Does any one know how long it takes to ride out to SFP from woden on hindmarsh at a cruzy pace????

Hey Sridevi

That's about a 10k trip, so 30min should be heaps of time.

Don't know about from Woden via Hindmarsh, but it takes me 15-20 from Curtin via Cotter and I'd reckon it's would only be 10-15 minutes more if you went via Weston Creek onto Cotter. So maybe 30-35 minutes...:) Anyone have a better idea?

Shridevi, you can do it in 20 but 30 is super-cruzy

You can probably manage it in 20-25 minutes at a cruise. Its 10 from my place in Weston so I don't imagine it would be more than another 10 to Woden. Google says its 8km from the Bike Shed to the Fire Memorial carpark turnoff.

Hey when are you leaving Shridevi? I will be riding out from Woden area, aiming to arrive around 6pm - so leaving Woden around 5.40...might see you along the way. Could go earlier..

The only cool bus will be leaving somewhere in woden at sometime when i see fit to leave.

All the cool buses are from Woden and go along Hindmarsh. Unfortunately I will be driving out there from the city today so I am not cool.

If you're going from Woden plaza it'll be a half hour ride once you allow for traffic lights. I live just opposite the BP servo in Phillip and 1/2 hr would be fine at a slow pace. And yes- it's quicker out there than back!
