Wow I can't believe Stromlo is steeper than rosewhite hill! I remember getting dropped so easily there...

Yep - and thats about where I dropped off to. Made it up the first bit but then some young, skinny little girls dropped the hammer as the incline got steeper, my HR hit a new max and I gracefully (as graceful as you can at max HR) retired off the back of the bunch. I was not alone though!

It's the distance that you need to worry about as well. Most of the local climbs only go for a couple of kms - exception being Corin but it's rolling and not a constant gradient.
