Good day for Vikings with Mitch showing great form with a strong win in the ITT. Bec Doolan 2nd in womens open (3rd overall for WA/U19) and I'm very happy with my time to take a 2nd in WB and Lee 3rd.
The twitter posts are a good idea... but seem a little different from the 'official' results.

Well done all. I was marshalling on Fri, dropped in to see some crit action yesterday and drove the spares vehicle today for the U13 males. It was one of the most attacking races I've seen for quite awhile with 3 boys breaking away, catching and passing the U15 girls then slugging it out in a sprint for the win.
I spoke to one of the breakaway group after the race. He races on a shimano TRIPLE (aghast!!) with the front derailier locking the chain on the GRANNY gear (shock-horror) and he manager to drop his chain off the inside twice!

Yes, big thanks to all the VCC members that helped out on the weekend. With out you guys events like this wont take place. Lets also not forget the organisers, it takes a huge amount of effort and time to put on an event like this, big big well done.

Very well done to both the competitors and the volunteers. Great work by the Vikings crew all round! Very proud of you to be associated with you all.
2nd for me in GC WB (1st in the RR yesterday) but I am really happy with the way I rode all the races. The final results haven't been sorted but pretty sure Lee came in 3rd on GC.
Alison won the TT and that bumped her up to 2nd GC with Kate and Lucy in the top 10 for the TT.
Great weekend of racing.
The results for WB and JW17 are taking a while to process and are not yet available.
Results for Wom-B and JW17 - Due to operator error we are missing essential data to generate full results for these Grades. We can recover the data but it takes time and given our volunteer status and the commitments to full time work this may take some time. They will be finalised and up as soon as possible.

I just want to add my congratulations to all the Canberra and particularly Vikings riders - awesome results. Not only that, the way all the riders conducted themselves over the weekend was a great credit to them and the clubs - from a sponsors perspective, this is important!!
I also wanted to thank all the guys and gals who jumped in to help with marshalling, set-up, pack-up, canteen etc etc. JA kept spruking about how wonderful DBR Australia was for sponsoring, but the reality is that the willingness of people to give up their time to help is what made the tour such a success!!
Thank you
Nige

And thank you for sponsoring such a great event really showcases young upcoming talent .
It was a great effort all round Nige. Great to see the family involved in every aspect of the event, including canteen duty and racing! Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves so that says a lot.
Yes, thanks Nige.
It is great to have sponsors at a local level, coming from someone who is very involved in the sport:).
