SFP - Graded Road Race
Sunday 23 May 2010 – 8am Start

Stromlo Forrest Park is the start/finish for this race. There is ample parking & great facilities here. I know this is an early start time, it’s the last 8am start, with all Vikings races beginning at 10am from next month.

Riders start on the access road at SFP, heading out to Uriarra Road. The race is neutral until the bunch has safely turned out of SFP and onto Uriarra Road. The race then heads out through the Xing to just past Uriarra Homestead, on Brindabella Road for a U-turn & return through the Xing and up the 3 sisters to finish on Uriarra Road just before the entrance to SFP. It’s the same finish as the ITT course, nice & fast as it’s slightly downhill. One lap of the course is a bit shy of 40 kms.

We are running a tandem grade for this event, so if you have one gathering dust in your garage – get it out!

Best to wait for an opportune moment and a crowd - like 10k's into Mt Hotham for example.

I've come down with a lurgy, I'm hibernating all weekend. Have a good one without me. Maybe B grade can all stick together and have a sprint at the end for a change.

It was a smallish field so A/B/C were combined for one lap only. There were at least 3 tandems racing as well. It was fricken cold too! A certain female Pinnarello rider faked a mechanical before the start so she didn't have to race!

I forgot how to start my borrowed automatic ... Apparently, you have to start in "park".

I'm guessing by the fact Bos finished with the B bunch that his grade has now been moved up to B eh Handicapper?
