Um, I won the E/D grade race I was registered in E grade. Allthough it was a race of attrition with two riders crashing out :(.

The race ended up being a smashfest in more ways than one. 3 riders hit the deck in the wet conditions. In the combined a/b/c grade, Stu Shaw and Tom Palmer slowly turned up the wick for 40 minutes until Stu was lapping solo.
It was a great race to watch as the bunch slowly dwindled and chase/survival groups formed. Well done to all that made the distance, and those that gave it a good attempt.
Best wishes for a quick recovery to those that come unstuck.
Lessons learned from SDTT is the wet:
1) keep off the white lines - esp during cornering;
2) avoid standing water, esp the lower (right hand side) of the dip;
3) reduce tyre pressure for wet roads - 10% less air will allow a bigger contact patch and more grip.
