Wanted to buy 105 or Ultegra compact 110PCD OUTER chainring 50T

If depend, both will work the Ultegra probably has better ramping so you will get better up shifts. With the newer cranks you pretty much have to go Ultegra with Ultegra unless you want an ugly set of chain rings. What is the price difference?

I currently have 105 5650 compact cranks. Both chainrings are worn and need replacing however I can't find anywhere that sells the outer one in either 105 or Ultegra. I can get the inner no probs. Seems to be a conspiracy by Shimano to make me throw away a perfectly good crankset and buy a new one.

Edit: CRC have a listing for Ultegra 6650 outer but not the matching inner. Can only get Ultegra SL or 105 inner which are both black (Ultegra 6650 replacement ring is silver, as is the 105 rings on my bike now).
