Hi all
Quite a few of the (ahem) older riders from the club are riding the world Track Champs for Masters during this coming week. Even without our club coach (come back Michael!!!) there will be quite a few strong riders out there going around in circles, very fast.

Tomorrow will be the timetrial (500m for women's and older mens and 750m for the rest). Jim Veal will be riding sometime after 9:30. Sue and Vanessa will be on after 12pm and then the younger grades riding after 6pm (Club prez: SimonC, Anton, Tony, Ray, Me: SimonN and Graeme Allbon).
Tuesday will be the pursuit and Wed will be scratch races (kinda like a short crit). Graeme Allbon and Mark Harris got the gold and bronze in Masters 4 at the world masters games in the scratch race last week in what was one of the most exciting races I've ever watched -- I kid you not. It will definitely be worth tuning in for that on Wed and the point score on Saturday.
For anyone who is toying with the idea of riding track it's also worth tuning in to see what it's all about. Track racing is a very fast and exciting form of riding. It also helps you ride better on the road!
