Graded Scratch road race
Tharwa to Apollo Rd Circuit
9:00 am

Plan to make this one which is the week before both clubs have there road championships. With warmer weather, this is a good circuit in which to stretch the legs and should make for some good bunch racing as riders head over Mount Tennant and the long run to the Apollo Road intersection. Riders then turn with the finish near the model airplane field. One lap is approximately 18 kilometers.

NOTE that the race starts at the intersection of Smiths Road and Naas Road, about 1 km south of Tharwa, over the bridge, near the model airplane field. Registration will be near the entry to the model airplane field.

Course Map can be found here (http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Naas+Rd&daddr=-35.5966,149.055462&hl=en&geocode=FY7x4f0d-J7iCA;&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=1&sz=13&sll=-35.561557,149.054775&sspn=0.077922,0.154324&ie=UTF8&ll=-35.559043,149.060268&spn=0.077924,0.154324&z=13).

If you're heading to the race, don't forget your number! If you haven't got one yet just email Jason Parkes with your name and club: jpparkes@three.com.au. He'll allocate you a tag and number which you can pick up at the race.

**Don't forget to bring your tag and number to races!!

From Canberra Roadies Google Group today:
"Hello,

Just a reminder that the Canberra Cycling Club (CCC) and Vikings Cycling
Club (VCC) are implementing permanent race numbers to be used at all Club
races. The CCC is also using the Times-7 system (which requires) a Wheel
Tag for all its road races.

If you would like to purchase a permanent race number and Wheel Tag please
email me at jppar...@three.com.au so that I can have your number and tag
ready for you to collect on Saturday.

If you don't wish to purchase a race number/Wheel Tag you will be required
to pay an extra 10 dollars on top of the 5 dollar entry fee for hire of a
Wheel Tag on the day.

For those of you, who have already received their number and tag; don't
forget (Jeremy Rhind) to bring them to the race!

Thanks,

Jason "

If I beat Rob tomorrow, he has to change his signature to "Faster than James (25/8/1985-23/10/2009)" and I want Jaimie to set me up with a counter that says "Days faster than Rob".
