View Full Version : Australia Day (Tues) HotW
I was thinking of an extended version going out to Condor (end of bitumen) and back via 3 Sisters and maybe tack-on Fairlight Rd for those that want more. Thinking a 7am start, that way hopefully all the roos will have found somewhere else to be. Any takers?

Anybody hitting up the HotW?
I'm thinking this longer version may cut into my planned Aus day celebrations so may step up to the HOP instead.

If anyone is interested in something a little different I'm taking a crew up from Condor Ck to the very top of the Brindies (Mt Ginnini). It'll be cooler up there! 50km each way and about 1500m climbing. Most of us will be on Cyclocross bikes, but a Mt Bike with lighter tyres will do the job.
Leaving Condor Ck around 8ish (though we might be a few minutes late with picking people up). I guess we'll be passing some of you in the car on the way out!
Cheers
Simon

It's a bit quiet on the HotW front so i'll make my Hour of Power debut instead.

That HOP (aka Hour of Power) I know  Leave 6am at the bike shed. Paceline most of the way, except for two rest sections. If you're not feeling strong, sit a little off the back and let the others roll through. (Don't take a turn unless you're sure you can finish it off -- i.e. roll all the way through.)
For the route, see http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Tuesday-Hour-of-Power
P.S. Too many acronyms!

That route may be a little outdated Simon. I think we took between 40-50 turns in Hughes and ended up at a dead-end.
Any chance of confirming that from your position in the bunch Jamie?

I did the 40 minutes of Power. A much tougher ride that ends at Lennox roundabout.
