Dear all

The details for this years BOTB have been released. It's on a bit earlier this year (29 April-3May) so not as good for beating the winter blues. Althoug it retains some of the negative features I mentioned in my report from last year (putting different race categories in the same bunch, for example) it is an excellent event. Would thoroughly recommend it.

For more information go to:

I'm going to try and go back this year. Would be great to see a Vikings contingent up there.

Cheers

I wonder if the date change is because the Tour de Sunshine Coast is back on? (Correct me, wasn't the Tweed race a rapid response to TdSC not getting their approvals?) The TdSC site claims its coming back but not details http://www.tourdesunshinecoast.com.au/

In that case I might have to do them both! :naughty:

Sounds interesting Simon, though I seem to recall a scary sort of race report from last year! What was the TT & RR course like?

They've changed the courses this year. Looks like the TT course is the same, but shortened. It's got rough pathches, but is a real power course (i.e. not much climbing). The road course on the second day looks a bit tougher than last year and it finishes on the coast, rather than on the dodgy bridge that took out half the field last year. So overall it'll be safer...but potentially harder.

Don't want to put a spanner in the works but isn't that the weekend of the CT?

Doh! You'd think these larger tours could coordinate a bit better.
